Born and raised in South Texas, I live with my husband of 34 years. I have 1 son, a daughter in law and 1 gorgeous 3 year old grandson.
I am a self taught artisan and have always been creative, however never really did anything with it until 1988 when I discovered I was making more money designing/painting jumpers for school teachers than I was working as a legal assistant in a law firm! Go figure!
From there it was painting all the way to the top and I do mean the TOP! I then started painting wall murals/ceilings, faux finishes, furniture. Even the White House has a piece of my hand painted furniture! I am also a seamstress where I made wedding and prom dresses. I quickly learned that people got either too fat or too skinny and too much altering was happening.
So I went to making draperies/bedding, nursery design and I loved it! I have designed several commercial structures with tile work including rolling, designing and carving clays then firing along with creating mosaic designs. All of this ended a few years ago when my right shoulder finally started freezing up on me from a birth defect. I then found Paint Shop Pro!! New medium, same subject...painting and designing just without the mess and costs!
