I would really love some input about the membership content please. I am still trying to figure out (after all this time lol) which you prefer - the images or the printables or the scrapbooking images? Or how much of each…for example would you rather have mostly printables with some scrapbooking images? Or would you prefer lots of images with a few of the others?
If you have the time I would appreciate some guidance with this. So please post your opinion on what your preferences are concerning the printables, artwork and scrapbooking.
Thanks so much,
Olivia

Here is the 29 and Holding image, one of my favorite themes. She is very chic and stepping on a birthday sign. The signs she is holding say, 29 forever, and ever, and ever. It is one of those never grow old gracefully things, forever young! If age really is a state of mind then it shouldn’t be too tough to stay 29.

Age is just a state of mind

Here is one that I have definite experience with, Be The Tree. You should see me, I look so funny when I’m trying to have my yoga moments. That tree looks so simple to do LOL…… I get up there with one leg perched on the other, hands together pointing to the sky with index fingers pointed even higher and it takes so much effort to not tip all the way over – I’m not an oak tree for sure! I thought to I’d add a little branch with leaves to the very top of the image to add that finishing touch
Anyway I thought it might be fun to make one of the mad hatters doing the tree. Actually she looks much more upright than I do, maybe I should tilt her over a bit more, what do you think?

The grand attempt at balance

I’m ready to get things moving along on the Mad Hatters now – whoo hoo! Here is the the pencil of Mother Earth. I hope you like her, she is a bit silly with her knee pads and such but yet she has a serious intent. Anyway she has ended up so far being my favorite to work on so thank you Deana for getting this idea going in my head
I’ll describe her a bit because it might be kind of hard to figure it out since she in pencil…in one hand she is holding the earth that has the moon, stars and a cloud extending out from the top of the earth. In the other hand she is holding a section of earth that has water, grass, a tree and the sun. Her hat has flowers and a bird with its eggs. She is wearing her work jumper with utility belts (lol) that are holding her green bag, extra gloves and gardening tools. She has on knee pads so her knees won’t get sore while planting her garden. And finally she has on her rubber boots just in case she has to walk thru something wet….an example might be that plastic sack thats floating down the stream polluting it.
I’ve been debating if I should take out one of the flowers that are coming out from her hat and replace it with something like a carrot or a bright red tomato or some other vege, what do you think? I’d love to know before I start painting her.

~ New Year's Bug Clock ~
I’m working on another set in the bug series, The New Year’s Party Bugs are on their way. There are many cute little images in this set. The bugs are dancing, dropping the ball, blowing party horns, sitting in a martooni, experiencing the new year’s kiss and more. I should have this set done within the next few days. I hope you all like it. The little bugs are always so much fun to create and great for family and kids

I’m busy working on a new set of images, Mad Hatters. The set is about women with red hats, that is how the concept began anyway. However, the Mad Hatter images are already evolving even before I have the first one finished
My concept really is about women who have something to say, especially mothers and grandmothers. I can see that in the future it might very well include younger women and girls as well. So while initially the title Mad Hatters is pretty apparent it might need subtitles over time. This sketch is the first one in the series and she is all about dancing to the beat of her own drummer. The style for the images can be considered to be a dash of realistic mixed with a lot of whimsy. I am currently working on a 29 and holding woman and a woman who is just wearing too many hats. I hope you like the concept and would love to hear feed back from you.
If you have any concepts that tickle your fancy and think they would apply to the series please post them here. If I can come up with a good visual for your idea and end up using it I will happily email you the image (and supporting images) for free as my way of saying thanks.
